About The Position

Responsible to manage the 7/24-hour clinical operations and staff within the PACU, meeting continuous quality improvement, customer service, financial, and delivery requirements in support of Seattle Children's mission, vision and values. Ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective care is provided to the community, patients and families of community primary care providers, and promote linkages and strategic regional relationships with Seattle Children's. In conjunction with the Operative Services leadership team, this position is responsible for the implementation of CPI initiatives for the PACU.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years RN experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Current Washington State or Multistate (MSL) RN license.
  • A copy of bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of bachelor's degree or higher in nursing is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire.
  • Nursing or healthcare related professional board certification in a clinical specialty area or leadership on hire or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire and must be maintained thereafter. Certification must be recognized by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) and approved by Seattle Children's.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. This is a condition of hire and must be maintained at all times.
  • Pediatric Emergency, Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or business related field.
  • Recent experience in PACU management and/or leadership role.
  • Recent clinical experience in a PACU setting.
