About The Position

The Operating Room Nurse Manager provides direction and oversight to all Operating Rooms, Sterile Processing, and Purchasing department staff within the Surgery Center, including Registered Nurses, Surgical Technologists, Sterile Processing Technicians, and Purchasing Specialists. The role reports directly to the Director of the Surgery Centers.

This is a full-time role providing primary leadership at the Landmark Surgery Center in Woodbury, Minnesota. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility to travel to Summit Surgery Centers in Plymouth, Minnetonka, Vadnais Heights, and Eagan as needed. The Nurse Manager may also work as an operating room staff nurse when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Operating Rooms, Sterile Processing, and Purchasing Departments.
• Help maximize utilization and productivity within the Operating Rooms, Sterile Processing, and Purchasing departments.
• Work with the Equipment and Inventory Control Liaison and Education Coordinator to implement training for new equipment as needed.
• Participate in developing policies and procedures relevant to nursing duties within the center.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Complete staff performance reviews and performance management.
• Collaborate with administrative staff on special projects and other assignments.
• Facilitate staff scheduling and staff meetings, and initiate orientation plans.
• Participate in planning for future operating room needs.
• Perform as an operating room staff nurse as needed.
