About The Position

The Nurse Manager-Nursery will provide leadership and management of a level II NICU. This role involves the management of staff, staff assessments, and daily operations of the NICU. The Nurse Manager will establish and implement standards of practice that comply with regulatory agencies, assure responsibility of overall productivity and successful budgeting for the unit, and collaborate with the Director of Maternity Services and other department leaders to maintain the highest level of care. The position requires demonstrating and encouraging team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences, while upholding and promoting patient safety and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of science in nursing required
• Currently licensed in the state of Alabama required
• Minimum of three years' clinical hospital experience in a supervisory capacity required
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in assigned areas of responsibility
• Previous critical care experience required
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Nice To Haves

• MSN preferred
• BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date
