About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager – NICU for an exciting Travel or Local job in Houston, TX. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a 30-bed Level IV NICU unit, supporting a team of 20-35 FTEs, and ensuring clinical care aligns with hospital mission and NICU standards. The position focuses on leading quality improvement initiatives, providing clinical guidance, and collaborating with leadership to improve patient outcomes and unit performance, while supporting family-centered care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years NICU clinical experience
• Minimum 2+ years leadership experience (Charge Nurse or Management)
• Recent Level III or IV NICU leadership experience (within 1 year)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Texas RN license or Compact License (TX required within 60 days)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a 30-bed Level IV NICU unit
• Support staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for 20–35 FTEs
• Ensure clinical care aligns with hospital mission and NICU standards
• Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure adherence to nursing process and evidence-based care
• Monitor and improve patient outcomes and unit performance
• Support family-centered care and “Woman First” philosophy
• Maintain operational efficiency across multiple shifts
