About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a Full-time / Direct Hire position with a leadership role during the day shift and an on-call rotation. The Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit, manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for approximately 80 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs). The role ensures quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards, monitors nursing care delivery and outcomes, and enforces compliance with hospital policies. Collaboration with OB, NICU, and surgical teams is essential, as is supporting graduate medical education and interdisciplinary practice. The position also involves leading performance improvement and operational initiatives, ensuring safe and efficient high-acuity patient flow management, and providing leadership during clinical escalations and emergencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year recent leadership experience in Labor & Delivery (within last year)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or RN Diploma required
  • Proven experience managing large clinical teams in acute care setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
