About The Position

Turner Industries LLC, is accepting resumes for Electricians to perform Project work in the Ingleside, TX area. Must be NFPA 70E qualified Must have TDLR for Journeyman Electrical Candidate must be available to work extended hours and callouts, schedule subject to change. Valid Drivers license, must have a TWIC card. Current schedule is 4 -10's. NCCER highly preferred. General Job Description: Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems apparatuses and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazard, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety system. Maintain current electricians license or identification card to meet governmental regulations. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. Functional Requirements: Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring consist with specifications and local electrical codes; prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring; measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; pulls wiring through conduit; splices wires; connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment; installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels; connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads; tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components; observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement; may repair faulty equipment or systems.

Requirements

  • Must be NFPA 70E qualified
  • Must have TDLR for Journeyman Electrical
  • Candidate must be available to work extended hours and callouts, schedule subject to change.
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Must have a TWIC card.
  • Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
  • Written pre-employment qualification test
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
  • OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)
  • Job site orientation
  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
