About The Position

Managing a busy Geriatric Mental Health Unit is exceptionally rewarding! First Atlantic Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate nursing leader to support our Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of our specialized mental health team. Requirements

• Must possess a diploma, Associate (AS), or Bachelor (BS) degree in nursing.
• Must be currently registered and licensed as a Nurse in the State of Maine.
• Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation, remaining current throughout employment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience sufficient to perform all duties with excellence.
• Knowledge and practical use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or solid general computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly.
• Effective leadership skills and/or a strong readiness to invest in growing these crucial skills within a specialized mental health unit.
• Experience working in the field of mental health.
• Proven ability to be an effective communicator and leader.
• Proven record of maintaining calm in a stressful and demanding job.
• Flexibility with excellent time management skills.
