Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
- Active RN license in state of practice
- 5 years’ experience as a clinical nurse
- 5 years’ experience charge nurse / team lead
- Critical care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of pediatric and/or orthopedic experience
- 1 year experience in clinical research
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- Maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit.
- Responsibilities include assessment, direction, planning, evaluating, and development of the In-patient Nursing and PACU divisions in coordination with the identified needs of patients and families.
- Overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided.
- Collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- May be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
