About The Position
The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) is hiring a Nurse Manager II to supervise and manage staff, programs, and units within an inpatient behavioral health facility. This role involves broad management responsibilities in planning, organizing, and integrating various functions, and directing staff to achieve program goals and objectives. The Oklahoma Forensic Center is a 24/7 secure inpatient forensic facility providing jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma, serving consumers found incompetent for adjudication or not guilty by reason of insanity.
Requirements
- Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Four years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- OR a bachelor’s degree in nursing and three years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- OR a master’s degree and two years of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
- Willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
- Must submit to urinalysis to test for drugs upon a conditional offer of employment for safety sensitive positions.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and management of staff, program and units in an inpatient behavioral health facility.
- Broad management issues in planning, organizing and integrating various functions for which responsibility is assigned.
- Directing assigned staff in meeting the goals and objectives of the program.
