About The Position
The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) is hiring for a Nurse Manager II. This role involves the supervision and management of staff, programs, and units within a 24-hour secure inpatient forensic facility. Responsibilities include broad management issues in planning, organizing, and integrating various functions, and directing staff to meet program goals and objectives. The facility provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma and serves consumers found incompetent for adjudication or not guilty by reason of insanity.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Four years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- OR a bachelor’s degree in nursing and three years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- OR a master’s degree and two years of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
- Must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, must submit to a physical examination and meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
- Must submit to urinalysis to test for drugs upon a conditional offer of employment for this safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and management of staff, program, and units in an inpatient behavioral health facility.
- Planning, organizing, and integrating various functions.
- Directing assigned staff in meeting the goals and objectives of the program.
