About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II to lead and oversee operations within our Hospital Operating Room. This leadership role is responsible for managing clinical and administrative functions, staff supervision, budget oversight, and quality initiatives. The successful candidate will foster a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and surgical care.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in the state of Oregon
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in Operating Room or perioperative setting
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or management experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, operating room workflow, and perioperative standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and handle conflict professionally
  • Active Oregon RN license
  • 3+ years Operating Room nursing experience
  • 2+ years management or supervisory experience in healthcare
  • BSN degree (Master's preferred)
  • Ability to work onsite in Hillsboro, OR

  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma quality improvement methodologies
  • Experience in a large health system environment
  • Background in surgical services budgeting and financial management

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Operating Room, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Supervise and develop nursing and surgical staff, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and professional growth opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain OR budget, controlling costs while ensuring adequate supplies and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to surgical services
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in interdisciplinary committees
  • Collaborate with surgical services leadership, anesthesia, and physician partners to optimize surgical schedules and patient outcomes
  • Address staff concerns and foster a culture of safety, communication, and mutual respect
