About The Position
We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Emergency Room (ER) to lead a high-performing Emergency Department in Overland Park, KS. This role is ideal for a strong ER Nurse Leader with a background in emergency nursing, staff leadership, and clinical operations.
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license (or compact)
- 3+ years of ER / Emergency Department leadership experience
- Strong background in high-acuity emergency care and trauma
- Proven success in team leadership and operational management
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily ER operations, including staffing, scheduling, and patient flow
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ER nurses and clinical staff
- Drive patient safety, quality improvement, and throughput efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and hospital standards
- Manage department budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and hospital leadership
