About The Position

Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced ER Nurse RN to join our team!

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the state of Florida to practice as a professionally registered nurse RN.
• Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required. May obtain ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in emergency room or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works under the ER supervisor and director of nursing and is responsible for the coordination of total nursing care in the emergency room department.
• Responsible for ensuring quality nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, triage, implementation, and evaluation.
• Responsible for the orientation, assignment, supervision, evaluation, and teaching of those under his/her direction.
• Manages the shift in a way to expedite workflow.
• Ensures compliance with all operating policies and procedures of Lake Butler Hospital and AHCA regulations.
• Assessment of physical and psychological needs of patients in emergent situations.
• Document initial findings/changes and provide report to providers to prevent decline in patient status.
• Demonstrate ability to establish priorities of care in emergent situations.
• Be aware of patients that are being admitted/discharged and work with coworkers for completing assessments, treatments, paperwork, education, etc.
