About The Position

The Manager of Emergency Department is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of all activities in the Emergency Department. This role involves supervising and monitoring the performance of the Emergency Department staff. The manager will also interact with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients, and patients’ families/significant other(s) to ensure comprehensive care is provided.

Requirements

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• PALS upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
