About The Position

This regional, field-based role provides leadership for cardiac diagnostic services across the North region. You will help align practices across sites, foster collaboration, and ensure teams have the support and resources needed to deliver safe, coordinated care as services evolve. The role supports locations in Haverhill, Newburyport, Lawrence, Salem, and other North Shore communities in Massachusetts, as well as New Hampshire. Occasional meetings may take place at Assembly Row in Somerville. Regular travel between sites is expected, although visits to multiple locations in a single day are uncommon. You will lead an experienced, collaborative team with strong tenure and a shared commitment to patient care. You will help improve patient access, safety, care coordination, and the team member experience. You will partner with physicians and clinical and operational leaders across the region. You will shape consistent practices across sites while supporting future service and location growth. You will contribute to future initiatives, including intravenous certification opportunities for echo sonographers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • Minimum of two years RN experience required
  • Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous formal or informal nursing leadership experience preferred
  • BLS preferred
  • ACLS strongly preferred for leaders supporting cardiac stress testing
  • Experience in cardiology, cardiac diagnostics, ambulatory specialty care, acute care, emergency nursing, critical care, telemetry, cath lab, or a related cardiovascular setting preferred
  • Prior charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager, or comparable leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive leadership style with the confidence to make decisions, escalate concerns appropriately, and lead by example across multiple practice settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for cardiac stress nurses, cardiac echo sonographers, and vascular sonographers across assigned North region locations.
  • Oversee a team of approximately 20 direct reports, including staffing, scheduling, coverage planning, onboarding, coaching, and staff development.
  • Partner with cardiology providers, practice leadership, scheduling teams, and clinical colleagues to improve workflows, quality, access, and patient experience.
  • Maintain visibility across sites through rounding, staff check-ins, and collaboration with site-based teams.
  • Support quality improvement, regulatory readiness, emergency preparedness, workflow standardization, and urgent operational needs.
  • Oversee equipment integrity, annual inspections, vendor relationships, and related follow-up to support safe, reliable cardiac diagnostic operations.
