About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health for an exciting Travel or Local job in Aventura, FL. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a 53-bed Behavioral Health unit, managing staffing, scheduling, hiring, and performance evaluations for approximately 108 FTEs. The position requires ensuring compliance with regulatory and JCAHO standards, driving quality improvement, patient safety, and satisfaction initiatives, and providing clinical leadership and crisis intervention guidance. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams, maintain operational efficiency and fiscal productivity, and support staff development and mentorship programs to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality behavioral health care.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years Behavioral Health nursing experience in acute care setting
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or similar)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active Florida RN License or Multistate Compact License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 90 days of hire
