About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states, known for its evidence-based clinical curriculum and individualized care. Their programs include detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The company is seeking talented, passionate clinicians to make a difference in the recovery community. This specific role is for a PRN LPN at Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA, where the individual will provide quality medical care, coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, maintain meticulous medical documentation, and provide patient education in individual and group settings.
Requirements
- Minimum one year diploma program post - high school
- Current licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
- Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
- Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
- Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings
