About The Position

As a RN Nurse Liaison, you will function as a nurse educator and consultant in collaboration with other clinicians regarding health promotion and maintenance, medication administration, and acute and chronic medical / psychiatric crisis management for persons served. Functions in role of Medication Administration Program Consultant (as described in MAP Consultant description in Vinfen MAP Policy & Procedure Manual) to assigned sites. Trains staff to receive MAC Certification. Monitors program adherence to medication administration policies, procedures, and regulations. Reviews medication policies and occurrence reports. Performs regular reviews at site(s) regarding implementation of MAC. Retrains staff in MAP procedures, as needed and documents accordingly. Serves as liaison to EOHHS/DPH and funding agency MAC Coordinators. Provides 24/7 on-call nursing coverage to assigned sites on a rotating schedule. Perform other related duties, as required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current R.N. license in Connecticut
  • 3-5 years experience in nursing.
  • Strong time management and writing skills.
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months.
  • All applicants must become CPR within 2 weeks of employment.
  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record check.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred, but experience may substitute for education.
