Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Registered Nurse (RN) , you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Requirements

  • 1 year of the last 2 years, recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery, or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training program
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, Post-gynecological and Level 1 Newborn Care
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Registered Nurse: NV
  • Basic Life Support - CPR - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program - NRP
  • Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of the last 5 years recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or equivalent in a setting with 100 births/month.
  • Bachelors Of Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Triage walk-in patients to determine labor status or false alarms.
  • Support laboring patients with interventions such as induction, epidural assistance, pain management, and fetal monitoring.
  • Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligations, cerclages, and emergency procedures.
  • Educate patients on medications, exams, procedures, and stages of labor.
  • Assess and provide care for newborns immediately after delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, lactation nurses, charge nurses, postpartum staff, patients, and families.
