About The Position

The Interventional RN is responsible for all aspects of care related to adult inpatients or outpatients undergoing procedures in the Interventional Neurology Lab. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments and interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient. This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of professional work to be performed. Call is requirement of this position. Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes of the call.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of recent CriticaI Care experience
  • AZ RN license upon hire
  • American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Management of blood samples and calculations
  • Sterile technique, scrub and assist physician during cases
  • Administration and knowledge of medications given to the patient under the supervision of the physician
  • Operate physiologic monitoring equipment
  • Operate all equipment related to IR procedures (IABP, Penumbra, IVUS, ISTAT, MedRad injector, manual thrombectomy, EKOS, McKesson pressure monitoring, venous Doppler, etc.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of SJHMC
