About The Position

The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing assignments and carrying out assignments from the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision. The Nurse Intern is accountable to the nurses for patient care provided during a shift, must adhere to nursing-care standards, and is responsible for promoting teamwork among co-workers. The estimated pay is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Currently enrolled in an ADN or BSN nursing program and in good standing.
• Completed at least one clinical medical-surgical rotation and successfully completed a medical-surgical nursing course.
• Be within 15 months of completing a nursing degree program.
• Upon graduation, successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
• Maximum time in the role is 15 months.
