About The Position

The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires flexibility to respond to rapidly changing assignments and carrying out assignments from the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision. The Nurse Intern is accountable to the nurses for patient care provided during a shift, must adhere to nursing care standards, and promotes teamwork among co-workers. The estimated pay range is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift as applicable. The maximum time in the role is 15 months.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Actively enrolled and in good standing in an ADN or BSN nursing program, and within 15 months of completing the program.
• Successfully completed a medical-surgical nursing course and clinical rotation; at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation must be completed.
• Upon graduation, successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
• Maximum length of time in the Nurse Intern role is 15 months.
