Undergraduate nursing students must be enrolled in a Bachelors level program in Nursing or a related healthcare field through an accredited college/university. The college or university must have an agreement with Canopy Children's Solutions that outlines the student's learning experience as well as the roles and responsibilities of both the college/university and Canopy. The chief objective of the undergraduate clinical internship is to provide the student with an opportunity to engage actively in actual professional tasks, which reinforces classroom learning in preparation for professional practice. The field experience provides students the opportunity to integrate knowledge, values, skills and cognitive/affective processes, and the mastery of behavioral health work competencies.
