About The Position

This role involves supervised clinical care where the intern will deliver direct, hands-on nursing care and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) under the close supervision of an RN preceptor. The intern will also be responsible for completing delegated clinical tasks, including measuring and recording vital signs, executing basic nursing orders, and preparing or transporting patients for diagnostic services. Meticulous and prompt documentation of patient data and communication of clinical observations, test results, and status updates to the preceptor or appropriate medical staff are crucial. The intern will actively assist the preceptor with the development and adjustment of patient care plans by reporting changes in patient status, while helping to maintain a safe, clean unit environment.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.
