Seeking senior nursing students (May 2027 grads only) who are passionate about the pediatric cardiac specialty and intend to pursue an RN promotion in our Cardiac PICU. The Cardiac Pediatric Critical Care Unit is a 24-bed intensive care unit. Staff provides admission-to-discharge care for children with known cardiac anomalies requiring surgical or medical management. Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs nursing tasks for which he/she has been trained and has demonstrated competency through a skills checklist. Senior level status in any nursing program required.

Requirements

Senior nursing students (May 2027 grads only)
Passionate about the pediatric cardiac specialty
Intend to pursue an RN promotion in our Cardiac PICU
Senior level status in any nursing program
Ability to communicate and understand detailed instructions relating to basic patient care and transport
Must be able to work and stand for long periods
Must be able to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council
