About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric critical care, including the specialized care of patients up to 25 years of age. This role requires a strong understanding of epilepsy monitoring, EKG rhythm recognition, and the management of inotropes. The position is for travel assignments and requires specific experience and certifications.

Requirements

• 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel assignments.
• 18 months of recent pediatric experience (travel experience accepted).
• Experience in epilepsy monitoring.
• Experience in specialized care of all ages up to 25 years.
• Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification.
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification.
• AHA or American Red Cross PALS certification.
• Proficiency with EKGs and inotropes.

Nice To Haves

• NIHHS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to pediatric patients up to 25 years of age in the PICU.
• Monitor patients with epilepsy.
• Administer and manage inotropes.
• Perform and interpret EKG rhythms.
• Utilize critical thinking and advanced nursing skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete EKG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
