About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Nurse Instructor for a Full Time Evenings position. This role involves teaching and supervising nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings, contributing to their professional development. Requirements
- Master’s Degree Nursing (or actively enrolled) in ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
- 3 years Clinical area of specialization/responsibility.
- Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students.
- Demonstrates creativity and perseverance in scholarly activities.
- Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students.
- Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning.
- Knowledge of FERPA.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities
- Creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of desired cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes.
- Assists students to develop as nurses and integrates the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role.
- Uses a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
- Formulates program outcomes and designs curricula that reflect contemporary health care trends and prepares graduates to function effectively in the health care environment.
- Functions as a change agent and leader to create a preferred future for nursing education and nursing practice.
- Pursues continuous quality improvement in the nurse educator role.
- Engages in scholarship.
- Functions within the educational environment (i.e., formulation of policies, program reports, input into budget, school's extracurricular activities, etc.).
