About The Position
The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities. The position collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide care for med-surg patients in facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program.
- Completed the first clinical rotation.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation.
- Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide care for med-surg patients.
- Perform related duties as required.
