About The Position
Jefferson Health is hiring a full-time Nurse Extern for its Telemetry unit at the Jefferson Einstein Philly hospital. This role is part of a mission to improve lives and involves performing specific tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Nurse Extern demonstrates accountability for assigned patients and actively seeks learning opportunities. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern will carry out routine patient care assignments, work in controlled care situations, and perform established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients.
Requirements
- Must be able to work full time hours.
- Student currently enrolled in an accredited college of nursing.
- You will be required to provide transcripts.
- Successful completion of Fundamentals in Nursing, completion of at least one medical surgical clinical rotation, and clinical skills lab from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
