About The Position

The Nurse Educator partners with Medical, Clinical, and Operational Leaders to manage defined training needs, including identifying gaps, looking towards future state skills, and maintaining best practices related to medical training. This role involves building relationships with external partners to support education and career growth, including Continuing Education (CE) opportunities. The Nurse Educator will find, apply, track, and report on CE participation, and deliver in-person and virtual medical training and coaching to support all Divisions. They will also provide input and support for non-medical clinical team tasks, and medical onboarding for new medical staff, working with leaders to ensure completion of job-specific checklists and skills validations for medical roles. Additionally, the Nurse Educator facilitates medical special programs, collaborates with the L&OD team to create/update medical training materials, and ensures detailed tracking of medical training completions, including LMS tracked training sessions and competencies. The role involves facilitating instructor-led medical training through various techniques like simulations, team exercises, group discussions, and multi-media tools, integrating training with diverse, real-world medical-specific situations to drive learning outcomes, and facilitating course offerings in multiple locations throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • RN with current unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in Kentucky.
  • Five years plus nursing experience.
  • Two years mental health environment experience preferred.
  • Adult learning experience.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites.

Responsibilities
