About The Position
Work collaboratively with Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program coordinator, allied health professionals, and management to provide diabetes education, behavior change goal setting and emotional support to outpatients in a high-quality American Diabetes Association (ADA) recognized program. Apply program evaluation, continuous quality improvement methodology and accepted clinical research findings to secure optimal clinical and program outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing required.
- Active RN license through the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with a focus on diabetes management or patient education.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential required within two (2) years of hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
