About The Position

The Nurse Educator, ICU, works under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and the Manager of Education. The role is responsible for providing educational activities guided by Nursing Department and hospital policies and procedures. The Nurse Educator uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care for patients and caregivers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• BSN completed; a Master’s degree must be completed or in progress.
• Written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and computer skills.
• Current BLS and ACLS upon hire.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in California.
• NRP as required by specialty upon hire, or course completion within 90 days of hire.
• CPI required within 30 days of hire.
