About the Clinical Support Program: Our Clinical Support program supports programs that fall under our mental health and substance use disorder departments. The Clinical Support team provides support to ReDiscover employees and is focused on providing direction and customer services to our employees and clients in the assigned locations.

Requirements

  • Availability to work Full-Time, 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
  • A valid state-issued automobile operator’s license is required.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of protocol, procedures, and standards within area of psychiatry, education, and clinical settings such as crisis, mental health, and substance use disorders for all age ranges.
  • Ability to monitors, audits, and ensures compliance related to training and clinical documentation; provides feedback and education to support improvement and reduce negative incidents.
  • Working knowledge of the use of established care models in the development of education programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA training requirements for healthcare facilities.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as use of email.

  • L1MA, CPR/BLS, First Aid & SCM certified preferred, or the ability to meet that need in 90-days

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall educational leadership within a specialized area of clinical expertise, supporting nursing and patient care staff through evaluation, professional development, and advancement of evidence-based practice.
  • Educate technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinate in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff. Examples are L1MA, CPR/BLS/First Aid, SCM.
  • Develop training curriculum, protocols and procedures related to training compliance regulations and incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consult with and serve as a resource to ensure delivery of quality patient care, patient safety, and adherence to state and federal regulations and other governing boards.
  • Monitor, audit, and ensure compliance related to training and clinical documentation; provide feedback and education to support improvement and reduce negative incidents.
  • Initiate skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
  • Collaborate with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
  • Analyze processes for potential gaps and/or updates to ensure positive outcomes and a reduction in preventable incidents.
  • Provide educational leadership to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within diverse settings.
  • Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
