About the Role: Responsible for company-wide nurse education, including nurse orientation and competency evaluations, annual nurse competencies, infusion education, BLS certifications, and other ongoing education and in-services as needed. Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed. Service Areas: Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Concord, NC, Mooresville, NC, Holly Springs, NC, Fayetteville, NC, Chapel Hill, NC, Greenville, NC, Rock Hill, SC, Midlothian, VA, Virginia Beach, VA.

Requirements

A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
CRNI within 3 years of job acceptance.
BLS Instructor Certification.
3 years of experience in the home and/or clinic infusion settings and/or nurse educator experience.
Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
All employees must uphold the confidentiality of protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies.
This position has access to sensitive information and a breach of information may be grounds for immediate termination.

Responsibilities

Develops an orientation plan for nurses and coordinates the educational plan with Nurse Managers.
Has excellent interpersonal skills in handling interactions with Palmetto Infusion staff, other agencies, patients, and families.
Conducts annual competency skill evaluations as well as competency skill evaluations of new nurses.
Provides Basic Life Support education for Palmetto infusion staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of INS Standards of Nursing Practice.
Provides effective communication so all staff are aware of current and future practices/ patient procedures at Palmetto Infusion.
Coordinates/provides education for all nursing staff related to new drug therapies, supplies, and equipment.
