About The Position

Granite Hills Hospital in West Allis, Wisconsin, is seeking a Registered Nurse Staff Educator to provide technical support and education for hospital staff. The role is responsible for nursing staff education and training, as well as the employee health and compliance program. The Staff Educator also assists the CNO with evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for required RN and MHT staff training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
• Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, restraint, and seclusion.
• Ability to prepare and present training events as directed for Nursing Services.
• Complete training in CPI/Verbal De-Escalation and CPR; this training may be obtained during new-hire orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
• At least three years of direct clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in staff education, nursing practices, patient assessments, and education concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and education for hospital staff.
• Provide nursing staff education and training.
• Manage the employee health and compliance program.
• Assist the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for required RN and MHT staff training.
• Prepare and present training events for Nursing Services as directed.
• Conduct weekend training as needed.
