The Nurse Educator is responsible for the coordination and training of Agency staff in the Residential and Day Habilitation departments in relation to medical administration and medical treatment, Agency Clinical Procedures and nursing department protocols. This role fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development, providing staff with the education to effectively perform their job duties in medication administration, care of individuals supported, and information on when and how to contact the nursing department for assistance. The Nurse Educator will orient staff to clinical policies and procedures, work with the Director of Training and Staff Development on new and continued education, and manage PPD placements and monitoring. They will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to ensure training materials comply with internal policies and external regulations, and may provide training at various sites and assist in developing online or new clinical classes. The role also involves tracking education classes, participating in quality assurance, supporting the agency's mission, and assisting with nursing duties as needed.
