The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required.
  • BSN within 3 years of hire.
  • Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing.
  • Current RQI BLS, ACLS required
  • BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • Must be clinically competent in area of population served.

Nice To Haves

  • MSN preferred.
  • One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
  • National certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e.CCRN, TCRN, etc.).

  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically.
  • Possess basic computer application skills.
