About The Position

The Nurse Educator - Emergency Department (ED) is a full-time, day position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. This role works with the team to provide high quality and evidence-based practice to all clinical and non-clinical staff at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role includes policy and procedure development, implementation of new skills, equipment, and processes. Competency validation completion for all disciplines. Onboarding new team members in all areas. Conducts training for Nurse Residency, Preceptor Workshop, CNA Workshops, Critical Care Orientation Series and ICU/SD New to Specialty Programs. The Educator attends Departmental meetings as needed. Coordinates with various clinical departments and manages projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, leadership and ancillary department staff.
  • Ability to generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
  • Flexibility and ability to work with a variation of hours to provide education to all the various clinical shifts in all departments.
  • Five years of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
  • BSN Required.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California.
  • Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge in working with PowerPoint, Excel, email and the electronic medical record.
  • Preferred experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting.
  • Master’s Degree Preferred.
