About The Position

This position is for a Nurse Director on a 36-bed HVI unit specializing in lung and advanced cardiac failure, which has transitioned from a medicine unit. The Nurse Director is responsible and accountable for the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating of nursing services for their nursing location. They are also responsible for managing all operational services within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regional regulations to meet patient needs. This role requires patient care responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
MA Registered Nurse License required.
Nursing management experience of 3-5 years required.
Proficient organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficient commitment to clinical excellence.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
Knowledge of Regulatory Agency Regulations.

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Nursing preferred or Master's Degree in a Related Field of Study preferred.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and supervise staff based on mutually agreed-upon goals in job descriptions.
Implement strategies to enhance retention and reduce turnover.
Promote a safe and positive working environment.
Ensure that RN supervisors/clinical care managers are aware of any updated policies and procedures.
Prepare departmental budget and operate department within budgetary guidelines.
Assign patients for day-to-day management to nursing coordinators and/or Nursing Supervisors/Managers.
