Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Nurse Clinician for a newly created role within their Eating Disorder Treatment Clinic. This position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a dietitian, psychologist, and provider, to offer compassionate patient care, education, and care coordination. The nurse will play a key role in shaping the future of this position and developing workflows. The role involves promoting optimal wellness through health maintenance, managing acute illness, and addressing chronic disease effects across the care continuum via face-to-face or electronic interactions. The Nurse Clinician will utilize critical thinking, nursing process, and evidence-based guidelines to care for patients and families with complex healthcare needs, acting as a partner, advocate, support, and teacher. They will facilitate continuity of care through inter-professional collaboration and care coordination, assessing and providing access to health services and community resources. Essential functions include coordinating care delivery, developing and evaluating care plans, communicating and educating patients and caregivers, employing educational strategies for health promotion, communicating effectively using health literacy strategies, contributing to clinical practice guidelines, advocating for patients and caregivers, and providing care management through telehealth practices.
