Requirements
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) plus relevant experience.
- At least 2 years in a hospital-based GI Lab or outpatient endoscopy center.
- Conscious sedation experience is a must.
- Current Missouri Nursing License.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Nice To Haves
- GI Expertise (to be obtained within 18 months of hire).
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, make necessary interventions, and team up with the care squad to provide top-notch treatment in the GI Lab or outpatient endoscopy center.
- Provide education to patients, families, and fellow nurses about gastrointestinal health, procedures, and recovery.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and safe while undergoing procedures by administering conscious sedation.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create the best patient outcomes.
- Obtain GI Certification within the first 18 months of hire.
