This position requires a competent clinician with the knowledge, skill, and experience to meet the standards for competent professional nursing practice as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act. The Nurse Clinician III will be experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled in their specialty area, competently functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Practice is characterized by predominantly interdependent decision-making, problem-focused, and patient-centered care. The role involves managing unexpected or emergency situations commonly seen in the assigned specialty population and serving as a resource for Nurse Clinician I or II. The position provides patient care through nursing practices based upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance, valuing specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals.
