Part-Time Temp Nurse Case Manager
About The Position
FlexStaff is hiring a part-time temporary Nurse Case Manager to join our client's team. The schedule will vary each week, with workdays coordinated between the site and the employee, typically three days per week from 9 AM to 5 PM. The assignment is for 13 weeks. The Nurse Case Manager will coordinate the delivery of health care services for assigned persons receiving services in a residence and/or program unit. This role involves making nursing assessments and diagnoses, and working in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to achieve positive health outcomes in compliance with OPWDD and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Maintain current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Competence in computer skills - Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to and access multiple locations throughout agency locations.
- Flexible work schedule with hours and/or days – as approved by the Director of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Prior nursing experience and/or experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Electronic medical record experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of health care services for persons receiving services as assigned in a residence and/or program unit.
- Make nursing assessments and diagnoses.
- Work in conjunction with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to achieve positive health outcomes for persons receiving services in compliance with OPWDD and applicable regulations.
- Travel to and access multiple locations throughout agency locations.
- Perform all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal False Claims Act, whistleblower protection, and mandatory reporting.
- Complete corporate compliance training at least annually.
- Fully cooperate in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.
