We are hiring a Field Nurse Case Manager to support injured workers throughout Virginia Beach and nearby communities, including Williamsburg, Newport News, and Hampton. A Field Case Manager role is a hybrid position. The candidate must be located in the Virginia Beach area due to regular local travel (80% of the time) for in-person patient appointments. You must be willing to travel and have a compact RN license in the state of MD. This individual is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, and closely monitors the progress of the injured worker and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA
  • Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases
  • Skills required for success: organization and timeline adherence skills, PC and technology skills, communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Skilled at patient education
  • Valid Driver’s License, and good driving history
  • Compact RN license in the state of MD

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in case management of workers comp cases, preferred
  • Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred. REQUIRED within two years of the date of hire
