About The Position

The CMHN is a key member of the Early Psychosis Intervention Program team, providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues through individual and group services. Responsibilities include medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, advocacy, documentation, mental health promotion, community consultation, education, and student mentoring. The CMHN coordinates Youth Day Program intakes, consults on referrals, collaborates with team members to develop and adapt treatment plans, and supports client transitions and post-transition care. The role also includes program coordination and administrative duties such as organizing schedules, arranging meetings, facilitating daily operations, and supporting overall team function.

Requirements

  • 3 years experience in a community or acute mental health setting
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Current PART and CPR certification
  • Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
