About The Position

As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the Early Psychosis Intervention Program multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness and substance abuse issues. These services are provided within an individual and group context.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years experience in Mental Health
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
  • Current PART and CPR certification
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Advanced - Communication skills
  • Advanced - Organizational skills
  • Advanced - Facilitation skills
  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate - Computer skills
  • Intermediate - Presentation skills
  • Advanced - Change management skills
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently
  • Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
