Nurse B - Clinical Coordinator
About The Position
As a member of a 24-hr patient access service, the System Flow Coordinator is responsible for patient flow to facilitate appropriate access to safe patient care. This includes coordination and accountability for decision making with respect to consultation, placement, and movement of patients within and outside of tertiary acute care. The System Flow Coordinator will function as an integral member of an acute care team whose collective responsibility will include access to and movement through resources across the continuum, and to other health facilities. The System Flow Coordinator provides access to consultation with physicians, patients, families, nurses, and support staff. During off-hours, the System Flow Coordinator will function as a management representative with respect to problem-solving and communication.
Requirements
- 5 years recent experience in a medical, surgical, critical care or ER department.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS).
- Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS.
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
Nice To Haves
- Nursing diploma is acceptable.
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable.
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable.
- Previous coordinator or management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate appropriate access to safe patient care.
