This role involves anticipating and responding effectively to emergency and stressful situations, arranging for necessary supplies and equipment, and assisting patients with admissions, transfers, and discharges. The Nurse Assistant will collaborate with Nurses to implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly, maintain good rapport with medical staff and other departments, and uphold a professional and confidential approach. Responsibilities include maintaining acceptable standards of patient care, including specified rounding requirements, and ensuring accurate and complete recording and reporting. The position requires adherence to the Patients Bill of Rights, participation in hospital safety programs, effective communication with patients and family members, and providing general patient care as needed. Support and enforcement of infection-control policies and procedures are crucial, as is willingness to assist other nursing units when requested. Annual completion of World Health Organization hand hygiene education and training is also required.
