Nurse Assistant Trainee - Full Time Days

Sanford Health•Saint James, MN
•$19 - $26

About The Position

The Nursing Assistant Trainee participates in a formal nursing assistant learning program to develop the skills and confidence needed to provide personal care to clients. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in partnership with a preceptor, the trainee provides holistic, client-centered care that supports independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner. Trainees must work within the non-certified nursing assistant role and may perform services only after receiving training and being found proficient by the instructor. The training program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining online curriculum with hands-on skills development. Trainees fulfill program requirements within the designated timeframe and, upon completion, are prepared to take state knowledge and skills exams for CNA or other applicable state certification. The position is scheduled for 32 hours per week, with an eight-hour evening shift. Full-time hours are required during training, and continued hire in a CNA position depends on passing the state CNA exams. The posting offers paid training and daily access to earnings.
