About The Position

Mt Olympus Rehab and Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care to residents. The position offers 8-hour shifts. Day shifts run from 6 AM to 2 PM; the posting also lists swing shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM and night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM. Full-time CNAs work five days a week. A nursing tuition reimbursement program provides up to $500 per month pre-tax for eligible employees attending nursing school. Eligibility requires working part time or full time and completing the first 90 days; no contract is required for the program. Benefits are available only to full-time employees.

Requirements

• Hold an active CNA certification in good standing issued by the state of Utah.
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Be able to make decisions independently when warranted.
• Have knowledge of medical and nursing practices and procedures.
• Have a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Answer residents' call lights to determine their needs.
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
• Provide physical support to assist residents with daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising.
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
